This Privacy Policy explains what personal data LIGNE VERTE collects through our website and our iPhone app, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain language.
1. Who we are
LIGNE VERTE BUILDING CONTRACTING L.L.C (“LIGNE VERTE”, “LV”, “we”, “us”) is a building contracting company licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under Trade Licence No. 1458222, with its office at Office 0510, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@greenline-lv.com or +971 56 511 0046 (phone and WhatsApp).
This policy covers:
- our website greenline-lv.com in all its language versions (English, Russian, French and Arabic), including the quote, cost calculator, Express Audit, document download and broker partner forms;
- our iPhone app LV Quote & Audit, also listed as LV Instant Quote (bundle ID com.ligneverte.linvertlv), with its two services: Instant Quote and Express Audit;
- the WhatsApp, phone and email conversations that follow from your request.
Websites and services we link to, such as WhatsApp or Stripe’s payment page, have their own privacy policies.
2. The short version
- We collect only what we need to prepare your estimate or audit and to contact you about it.
- The app has no login, no advertising SDKs and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
- Room scanning happens on your iPhone. We receive only the resulting measurements. Camera video is never uploaded.
- The website uses Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising, but only if you accept cookies in our cookie banner. Our own visit counter uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- You can ask us at any time to show, correct or delete your data: info@greenline-lv.com.
3. What we collect
3.1 Information you give us on the website
- Quote, enquiry and calculator forms: name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, the community or location of your property, budget, a description of your project and, if you use the calculator, the estimate you choose to send us.
- Express Audit: the same contact details plus the files you upload, such as a contractor’s quotation, drawings or photos of your property (up to 20 files in JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, PDF or Excel format). Please remove anything we do not need to see, such as ID or bank card numbers, before uploading.
- Document downloads (Company Profile, Project Catalogue): your email address, if you ask us to email you a download link.
- Broker Partner Programme: for partners, your name, agency, RERA registration number, phone and email. For clients a partner registers with us, the client’s name and contact details as provided by the partner. Partners must have their client’s permission before sharing the client’s details with us.
3.2 Information you give us in the app
Instant Quote:
- contact details: name, phone or WhatsApp number and, optionally, email;
- property type (apartment, villa or office);
- room data: the type of each room and its measurements (floor, wall and ceiling areas, and the number of doors, windows and plumbing points), taken from an Apple RoomPlan scan or entered by you by hand;
- your choices: finish package (Economy, Standard or Premium) for each area, and whether you want underfloor heating or smart-home features;
- whether you asked us to book an engineer visit.
Express Audit: name, WhatsApp number, optional email (for the payment receipt), community, your message, the language of the app and the files you choose to add: scanned pages of a quotation, photos of your rooms taken with the camera, photos you pick from your gallery, or PDF and Excel files (up to 20 files).
3.3 How the app uses your camera and photos
- Room scanning: the app uses your iPhone’s camera and LiDAR sensor through Apple’s RoomPlan framework. The scan is processed entirely on your iPhone, and we receive only the measurements listed in 3.2. The camera feed, video, images, 3D model and point cloud of your room are never uploaded to us and are not kept by the app.
- Express Audit: when you scan the pages of a quotation or photograph your rooms, those images are sent to us as part of your audit request. Only the images you take or select are sent.
- Your gallery: photos are chosen through the standard iOS photo picker, so the app never sees the rest of your photo library.
- If you do not allow camera access, you can still enter room sizes by hand and upload files.
3.4 Information collected automatically
Website:
- With every form you send: your IP address, the date and time, the page and language of the form, and the campaign parameters in the page address (for example utm_source and utm_campaign). If you have accepted cookies, the form also carries the Google or Meta click ID (gclid, gbraid, wbraid or fbclid), the page where you first arrived and the date of your first visit. We use this to see which advertising brings enquiries and to protect our forms from abuse.
- Visit statistics: our own counter records the page viewed, the referring website, campaign parameters, device type (mobile or desktop) and your approximate country and city. Location is worked out from your IP address on our own server. Your IP address is not stored: we keep only a one-way code that changes every day, used to count unique visitors.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7.
App:
- The app does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA), device identifiers, location, contacts or usage analytics.
- Like any internet connection, each request from the app shows our servers your IP address. The website server stores the IP address with an Express Audit request for security and to prevent abuse. The Instant Quote service does not store it in our database. Our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs.
- If you install the app through Apple’s TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may send us crash reports, feedback and usage statistics, but only if you have agreed in your iPhone settings to share them with app developers. Apple’s privacy policy governs this.
3.5 Payments
The Express Audit (AED 100) is paid by card through Stripe, on Stripe’s secure payment page. You enter your card details directly with Stripe, and they never reach us. From Stripe we receive confirmation of payment, the amount, your name and email and a reference linking the payment to your request.
3.6 Conversations with us
When you contact us, or we reply to your request by WhatsApp, phone or email, we keep the messages and call notes that relate to your project.
4. How we use your data and why
For visitors and users in the EU, UK or Switzerland, we also give the legal basis under the GDPR (or its UK and Swiss equivalents).
- To prepare your estimate, audit report or proposal from your contact details, property and room data, choices and files. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of the contract for a paid Express Audit.
- To contact you about your request: sending the estimate or report, arranging an engineer visit and following up on your project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in following up on requests you made.
- To carry out our contract with you if you become our client. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To take the Express Audit payment and keep accounting and tax records.Legal basis: performance of a contract, and compliance with legal obligations.
- To run the Broker Partner Programme: registering partners, linking referred clients to the right partner, and calculating and paying commissions. Legal basis: performance of our contract with the partner, and our legitimate interest in paying the right partner.
- To measure and improve our advertising and website. Analytics and advertising cookies, click IDs and the Google and Meta tags are used only with your consent, which you give or refuse in our cookie banner. Legal basis: consent. Campaign names in the page address and our cookie-free visit counter rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which advertising works.
- To improve our pricing and services using measurements and estimates in aggregated, anonymised form. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To keep our website, app and forms secure and to prevent spam and fraud. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To comply with the law, answer lawful requests from authorities, and establish or defend legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest.
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, we rely on the same grounds where that law allows: taking steps before a contract, performing a contract, meeting legal obligations and defending legal claims. In every other case we rely on your consent.
Marketing. We send you offers or news unrelated to your request only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp or by writing to info@greenline-lv.com.
Automatic estimates. The Instant Quote is calculated automatically from your measurements and choices using our current price list. It is an indicative price range, not a binding offer. It has no legal effect on you and no similarly significant effect. A final quotation is prepared by our engineers only after a site visit.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only as follows.
- Our team: the engineers, estimators, sales and administration staff who need it to handle your request.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf and on our instructions:
- Hostinger International Ltd: website hosting, form submissions and Express Audit files (servers in Malaysia);
- Vercel Inc.: hosting of the app’s Instant Quote service (United States);
- Supabase Inc.: the database for app estimates, hosted on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India;
- Google LLC (Google Workspace): our business email, including the notifications our forms send us;
- our cloud-hosted customer relationship management (CRM) system, where enquiries are recorded and assigned to our team;
- Stripe: card payments for the Express Audit;
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp): when we talk to you on WhatsApp.
- Analytics and advertising partners, website only, and only if you accept cookies: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel) receive information through their tags about your visit and about conversions, for example that a form was sent or a payment was made. Where Google’s “enhanced conversions” feature is active, the Google tag may also send Google a hashed (irreversibly encoded) copy of the email or phone number you typed into our form, so that the conversion can be matched to a signed-in Google user. We do not send them the rest of your form or your files. For Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, Google and Meta use this data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. For Google Analytics, Google processes the data on our behalf under its data processing terms; Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. The app contains no Google or Meta code.
- Broker partners: if one of our registered partners introduced you, we record that introduction. We may tell that partner what they need to confirm the referral and calculate their commission, for example whether a contract was signed and its value. We never share your files, scans or estimate details with them.
- Subcontractors and suppliers: if you become our client, we give them only what they need to carry out your project, such as the site address and a contact person.
- Authorities, courts and professional advisers: when the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A buyer or successor of our business: if it is reorganised or sold, your data remains protected by this policy.
6. International transfers
Our team works in the UAE. Some of our providers store or process data in other countries, including India, Malaysia and the United States. When your data leaves the UAE, or the EU if you are there, we rely on the safeguards in our providers’ data processing terms. Where the GDPR applies, those terms include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We also rely on the grounds for cross-border transfer permitted by the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
7. Cookies and similar technologies (website)
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Until you click “Accept”, none of the cookies and tags listed under “Only with your consent” is set or loaded, and nothing is sent to Google or Meta. “Reject” is as easy as “Accept”, and the website works fully either way. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies set on our domain from your browser.
Always set (strictly necessary):
- lv_consent (cookie, set by LV): remembers your cookie choice, with a random consent ID, so we do not ask on every page and can show that consent was given. Kept for 6 months, after which we ask again.
Only with your consent:
- lv_attr (browser local storage, LV): remembers the ad campaign or click ID that brought you to us, so that an enquiry you send days later is credited to the right campaign. Kept until you withdraw consent or clear your browser data.
- lv_broker_ref (cookie, LV): remembers the broker partner whose QR code or link you followed. Kept for 12 months. Without consent, a referral is recorded only if you send a form from the page the partner’s link opened.
- Session storage (LV): stops a single enquiry from being counted twice. Cleared when you close the tab.
- _ga and _ga_7CC5S1VBPG (Google Analytics): count visits and show which pages and sources bring visitors to our website, so that we can improve it. Kept for up to 13 months. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
- _gcl_au and other Google Ads cookies (Google): measure conversions from Google Ads. Kept for up to 90 days. We use Google Consent Mode, so Google’s tag is not loaded at all without your consent.
- _fbp and _fbc (Meta): measure conversions from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads. Kept for up to 90 days.
We keep a record of each cookie choice as proof of consent: the choice, the date, the page language and the random consent ID. It contains no IP address or other identifier.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and limit ad personalisation in your Google account (adssettings.google.com) and in Meta’s ad preferences, and block Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
The app does not use cookies. It keeps your contact details and room measurements on your iPhone for up to 24 hours, so you can finish an interrupted request. Tapping “Start over” or deleting the app removes them.
8. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries, estimates and audit requests that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted or anonymised.
- Express Audit files: 12 months after we deliver the report, unless you become our client.
- Client project records: for the duration of the project and up to 10 years after handover. This reflects the liability periods that apply to contractors under UAE law.
- Payment, accounting and tax records: at least 5 years, or longer if UAE law requires.
- Broker partner records: while the partnership lasts and for 5 years after the last commission payment.
- Visit statistics: kept only in aggregated form that does not identify you.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted by Google.
- Records of cookie choices: 13 months.
- Data stored in the app on your iPhone: up to 24 hours.
We may keep data longer if we need it to resolve a dispute or to comply with a legal obligation.
9. How we protect your data
All data between your browser or app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is limited to authorised staff. Express Audit files are stored in non-public folders on our server. The app’s database cannot be reached from the internet directly, only through our own service. Our forms and app services are rate-limited to prevent abuse. No system is completely secure, however. If a breach is likely to affect your rights, we will inform you and the competent authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, if you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, under the GDPR or its UK and Swiss equivalents, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to our use of your data, including at any time to direct marketing;
- receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent. This does not affect processing already carried out;
- not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects on you (as explained in section 4, our automatic estimates are not such decisions);
- complain to a data protection authority. In the UAE, that is the UAE Data Office. In the EU/EEA, it is the supervisory authority where you live or work. In the UK, it is the Information Commissioner’s Office, and in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Please contact us first, so we can try to resolve your concern.
How to make a request or ask for deletion: email info@greenline-lv.com with the subject “Privacy request”. Tell us your name and the phone number or email you used; for app requests, the approximate date also helps. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting. We reply within 30 days, free of charge. If we need more time, as the law allows, we will tell you why.
App users: the app has no account, so there is nothing to delete inside the app itself. To have the data we hold about you deleted, email us as described above. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone.
11. Children
Our website and app are intended for adults arranging construction or renovation work. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make it clearly visible on our website or in the app.
